AIM movers: Time Finance recommends bid and Tertiary Minerals discovery

Coal mine developer GCM Resources (LON: GCM) says recent Bangladesh government statements are positive, and the government is finalising its national energy mix policy with coal likely to be a part of the mix. The share price jumped 107.7% to 8.1p.

Tertiary Minerals (LON: TYM) has discovered a new shallow copper mineralised zone in the western zone of the Mushima North project in Zambia. This includes a drill intersection of 25 metres at 0.38% copper. Further results are expected soon. The share price gained 11.5% to 0.0725p.

Thor Energy (LON: THR) managing director Andrew Hume is giving a presentation to the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia on Tuesday. This will be focused on the natural hydrogen industry. The share price rose 11.1% to 0.5p.

Small business finance provider Time Finance (LON: TIME) is recommending a bid from Ultimate Finance, which itself was taken private when it was an AIM-quoted company. The offer is 59.1p/share, which values Time Finance at £55.1m. Both companies are focused on smaller businesses, while Ultimate Finance also provides property bridging loans. The three largest Time Finance shareholders back the bid. The share price increased 9.52% to 57.5p.

FALLERS

Staffing company Hercules (LON: HERC) has secured £310,00 of new funded training awards for the Hercules Academy and there are other potential funding decisions expected. It is also working with seven prisons to provide prison education. Pilot programmes are underway with infrastructure clients. The share price is 5% lower at 38p.

Occupational health services provider Optima Health (LON: OPT) reported full year figures in line with the June trading statement with revenues improving from £105m to £120.6m. Underlying pre-tax profit rose from £12.8m to £14.2m. There is potential for longer-term margin improvements. The share price declined 3.84% to 238p, which is just below the two year high.

MTI Wireless Edge (LON: MWE) grew interim revenues 11% to $26.7m despite a drop in antenna sales because of timing issues, although the division’s profit contribution was maintained excluding a $100,000 bad debt. Irrigation technology provider Mottech and defence and electronics business MTI Summit both increased revenues and profit. Net profit improved from $2m to $2.5m. Net cash was $7.7m at the end of June 2026. There is a strong order book with all three divisions likely to do well in the second half. Full year pre-tax profit is expected to rise from $5.4m to $5.8m. The share price dipped 3.01% to 64.5p.

Jangada Mines (LON: JAN) has completed phase 1 drilling at the Molly gold project in Brazil and discovered bonanza grades at the Vivi target. This confirms the potential for increasing the inferred resource of 130,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 2g/t. The share price slipped 2.94% to 0.825p.
