Zinc Media wins $6.1m Middle East feature film commission

Zinc Media has won a $6.1m contract to produce a feature film for a leading institution in the Middle East, one of the largest single productions the group has undertaken in the region.

The AIM-listed television, brand and audio production company said it would lead all aspects of the 90-minute film’s delivery, with revenue recognised across the current and next financial year. The client and the nature of the work remain confidential ahead of the film’s release.

Zinc said the commission confirmed its position as a production partner for large institutions and built on its 20-year track record in the region through its The Edge business in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

It added that the win supported its stated ambition to double its turnover in the Middle East over the next three years.

Mark Browning, CEO of Zinc Media Group, said: “This is another landmark project for Zinc and a significant step up in the scale of what we deliver in the region.

“To be trusted with a feature film of this ambition by one of the Middle East’s leading institutions is a powerful endorsement of our creative and production capability, and of the relationships we have built over two decades in the market. It is a strong proof point that our Middle East growth strategy is working well evidence of Zinc’s ability to compete and win at the top end of international production.”
