Intercede revenue jumps 32% on strong licence sales

Intercede reported a 32% rise in first-half revenue, driven by strong demand for its digital identity software across government and defence customers.

The cybersecurity specialist said revenue for the six months to 30 September rose to about £10.85m, from £8.21m a year earlier, led by a more than doubling of perpetual licence sales to £2.73m.

Its recurring support and maintenance revenue held steady at £5.64m. The company ended the half with gross cash of £23.4m and no debt.

Since early August, Intercede said it had secured around £3m of new contract orders and renewals, mostly across its core US government, defence and aerospace markets.

These included orders tied to US Federal Government and Department of State deployments, and it also received authority to proceed on a development project for a US federal agency.

The company said it had made a good start to the second half and expected full-year results to be in line with market expectations. Interim results are due on 24 November.
