Roundhouse AI debuted on London’s AIM market on Tuesday, raising about £1.6m as it builds data infrastructure for the emerging economy of autonomous AI agents.
The company, trading under the ticker RHAI, raised the money through a share placement and an offer of new shares at 5p each, giving it a market value of around £14m.
The market received the company well, with shares trading more than 20% higher at 6.25p at the time of writing.
Roundhouse says it is focused on building trust in individual AI agents by creating a neutral platform to track and record transactions between AI agents and between AI agents and businesses, creating a dataset for identity and “reputation” scoring.
Roundhouse, which launched a free dashboard in September, said it did not expect to generate material revenue yet, focusing on building data coverage.
It plans to introduce paid features, including “agent reputation scores” and an index tracking AI-agent activity, once it has wider coverage. The key will be ramping up traction quickly to build a dataset that can be reliably evaluated against.
Chief executive Matthew Lodge, said: “Today marks the start of trading for Roundhouse on AIM. AI agents are starting to pay each other and pay businesses, and that market needs a neutral record of who is paying, who is getting paid, and what it costs.
“That’s what Roundhouse provides. Our dashboard is live and free to use, and our focus now is growing data coverage so we can launch Agent Reputation Scores and the aGDP Index. I want to thank our team for their incredible work in getting us here, our advisers for their support through the admission process, and our new and existing shareholders for backing us. This is just the beginning.”
