Investment Approach

Investing in tomorrow’s larger companies, today
Aberdeen has been investing in UK Smaller Companies for over 25 years. Over that time, we’ve developed some clear ideas about the most effective ways to invest to achieve our and our clients’ goals, with some principles at the heart of our approach.

Quality, Growth and Momentum
We seek to identify and invest in companies with attractive quality, growth and momentum criteria and hold these companies for extended time periods. These characteristics are first identified by our proprietary quants screening tool (the matrix) and then our team of Smaller Companies specialists carry out rigorous fundamental analysis.
