Filtronic issued an AGM statement on Friday, reiterating a strong flow of new orders across its space and defence businesses, building on its record SpaceX contract this month.
There was little in the way of major news in the update and it was really an opportunity to confirm guidance.
The firm said that, since the start of its financial year, it had won two further satellite contracts worth a combined $16m with a US customer, alongside its largest-ever order, the $68.1m SpaceX deal announced in early October.
It repeated that it was broadening its customer base and moving towards supplying higher-value systems rather than individual components.
The company also pointed to technology progress, having completed its first 200W amplifier system, ten times more powerful than an earlier product, designed for satellites in higher orbits, which it said was attracting commercial interest. It won a first development contract with a US manufacturer of such satellites.
In defence, it secured three new contracts worth £2.1m for airborne radar systems, adding to a £2m government grant earlier in the year.
Filtronic said its order book gave it significant revenue cover for the year and confidence of meeting expectations.
