MS International has secured a €19.4 million contract to supply three naval gun systems to an unnamed NATO country, strengthening its position in the growing market for counter-drone defence.
The contract, awarded to its Norwich-based subsidiary MSI Defence Systems, covers three 30mm gun systems designed to protect naval vessels against uncrewed aerial systems as well as surface and semi-submersible threats.
The systems will be supplied with radar and optical detection technology, alongside MSI-DS’s Fire Control System, providing the customer with an integrated capability to identify and respond to a wider range of threats.
The deal reflects rising demand for adaptable naval weapons as NATO countries look to improve protection against drones and other emerging threats.
Deliveries are expected to begin towards the end of 2027, in line with the customer’s wider programme timetable.
