Vesari appoints satellite communications expert to Science Advisory Board

Vesari Inc., which is developing geothermal-powered hyperscale computing infrastructure for artificial intelligence, has appointed Professor Beatriz Soret to its Science Advisory Board, effective 1 September 2026.

The announcement from the Tekcapital portfolio company follows yesterday’s news that it Vesari expanded its patent portfolio.

Soret is a leading authority on satellite communications, with more than two decades of experience across academia and industry.

Her current research centres on low-Earth-orbit (LEO) satellite networking and inter-satellite links, spanning constellation design, distributed routing and satellite edge computing.

Soret has long worked with the European Space Agency under its SatNex framework. Her appointment touches on the space-based data transmission layer of Vesari’s proposed platform.

She has published more than 100 papers and holds 17 patents, one of which is partly incorporated into the 3GPP LTE V2X Release 14 specification.

The company is building its Science Advisory Board around the three technical pillars of its infrastructure: geothermal energy; hyperscale power and heat management; and LEO satellite optical data transmission.

“Laser-based inter-satellite links are changing what is possible for moving large volumes of data, and pairing that capability with clean, firm computing on the ground is a compelling application of the science,” said Soret.

“I look forward to contributing to the networking architecture that will connect Vesari’s orbital data transmission layer to its compute campus.”
