AMS reports higher first-half revenue despite order timing headwinds

Advanced Medical Solutions expects to report half-year revenues of approximately £115.2m, up from £110.8m a year earlier, despite some first-half orders slipping into early July.

The tissue-healing medical device company said progress in its strategic push to expand direct sales in Europe led to some de-stocking, which weighed on sales in the period.

The first half was also up against a demanding comparator, with order phasing from a key strategic partner in the Advanced Closure division having flattered the prior year, as flagged at March’s preliminary results.

The integration of Peters Surgical and Syntacoll remains on track, and the board is confident of delivering full-year EBITDA in line with current market expectations.

Chris Meredith, Chief Executive Officer of AMS, said: “With our strengthened portfolio, and a pipeline of exciting and significant opportunities, we remain confident in the future prospects of the Group and delivering sustained long-term value.”
